How it works
Type or paste a web address, a phone number, Wi-Fi details or any text. The QR code updates as you type.
Choose an error correction level. Higher levels let the code still scan when part of it is dirty or covered, but make it denser.
Download the code as a PNG picture, or as an SVG that stays sharp at any size for printing.
Good to know
These are static QR codes. The text is stored in the code itself, so it never expires and nobody can track the scans or change the destination later.
Test the code with a phone before you print it. Keep a quiet white border around it and print it large enough to scan from a distance.
For Wi-Fi, use the text format WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; and most phones will offer to join the network.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. The information is stored inside the picture, so it works as long as the picture can be read. There is no account or server behind it.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
No, because the code does not pass through a server. If you need scan counts, you would need a service that redirects through its own web address.
Which format should I download?
PNG is fine for screens and documents. SVG is best for print and signs because it can be scaled up without going blurry.
Is the text I type sent anywhere?
No. The code is made in your browser.
